Our Off Site Sales Program is the perfect way to include book sales as part of a convention, seminar, or other special event. In many cases, we can run the sale for you. If you are a nonprofit organization and would like to use your book sales as a fund raiser, you can run the sale yourself and receive 20% of the sale proceeds. Submit this application and we will be in touch promptly.


 

Our Consignment Program allows schools to take books from our store for a period of up to 60 days. During that time the schools may purchase the books at a 20% discount in order to sell them to students and parents at retail price as a fundraiser, or return the books in salable condition at the end of 60 days.

Is your nonprofit group looking for a way to raise funds? Our Book Days Program can help. Book Days allows your organization’s supporters the chance to have 20% of their purchases go back to your group during one designated week per year. Advertise the week-long Book Days to your supporters, and make sure they mention your organization's name when they make purchases during the designated week. When your Book Days are over, we will compile all eligible sales and send you a check for 20% of the total. To request a Book Days date, simply complete this short application.

The Store Tour Program is an opportunity for teachers to take small groups of students to see how an independent bookstore operates on a day-to-day basis. Designed primarily for pre-schoolers, the tour includes an overview of the bookstore and visits behind the scenes. After the tour, pre-schoolers are treated to a brief storytime and refreshments.

Please note: We are happy to provide tours for students of any age and can customize them to fit into any curriculum, including career information and time to shop.

We created Reading Group Centers in response to folks who wanted to form a reading group and needed the "who and how" of it, and to groups who wanted their selections easily accessible in our stores. We now offer community reading group tables featuring registered reading groups’ current selections and reading group guides. To register your reading group, simply stop by one of our bookstores to fill out a registration form or click here. Hand the form to a bookseller, and we will take care of the rest! Reading groups receive a 20% discount on current selected titles.


 

As part of our ongoing commitment to literacy education, we offer a discount to K-12 educators purchasing educational materials for classroom use. Our 20% discount helps offset the cost of books from our Young Adult, Children’s and Education sections. The program is available to fully certified K-12 educators working in Michigan. To determine eligibility for the program, please contact us. We will mail your card as soon as your application is approved.

Reach Out! is a program designed to help nonprofit and social service organizations get the word out about the good work they are doing in and for the community. The two-hour program runs each Saturday and is an opportunity for our customers to find out more about your organization, its mission and its impact on our community at large.
