Name: Chris, rapidly aging adolescent

Hometown: Lansing, Mi (but I was born south of no north)

Favorite Book (this moment): Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse or The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon

Favorite Author(s): Charles Bukowski, Henry Miller, William Kennedy, Frank O'Hara, John Fante

Favorite Childhood Book: The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton (oh, and Iron Man comics!)

Book you're ashamed to admit you enjoyed: The Man Without Qualities by Robert Musil (It's too pretentious to admit finishing)

Favorite quote from a book: How about a quote from an opera singer instead: Vocal travesty Florence Foster Jenkins, widely regarded as the worst soprano in history, once commented, "People can say that I can't sing, but they can't say that I didn't sing." That pretty much applies to all aspects of humanity - and also makes me giggle.

Hidden Talent: I am pretty good at English very much :)

Theme Song: I equate this with baseball - what song would I want playing as I stepped from the batter's box to home plate? (Nolan Ryan is pitching.) I'd have to say "Ticket to Ride" by the Beatles.
