Children's poems to be read aloud. The full color illustrations by the author are educational and fun. Awareness of our natural world begins early in our children's lives. Natural habitats are being destroyed, leaving fewer places of safety. Today, only four white rhinocerous remain, separated in zoos, no longer in their own environment. With education, awareness, and action we can save our precious heritage for future generations.

About the Author

The author lives with her husband and daughter in California. She began writing poetry for children for her first child, Steven. She illustrated individual picture books for her special needs daughter, Laura. When Barbra's grandson was three her favorite magazines were National Geographic, Nature, and Smithsonian. He liked the pictures and her stories. Poems were short versions of the stories.
