A beautifully concise and colorful story of Lansing from its beginnings in the Native American era, written by a man who was a journalist, historian and state editor with the Lansing State Journal from 1937 to 1973—and was an archaeologist, assisting on many digs with Michigan State University. Also helped with restoration of Fort Mackinac and Michilimackanac. He was my dad.
