The 30 poems of Good Things Are Still True detail the author's initial thoughts on grief and loss, all written in the four months after her mother's passing. They explore the author's perception of age, the way life is seen in a new light - filled, amongst other things, with awe and gratitude - after tragedy, and as the title suggests, the refusal to allow bad circumstances to equate a bad world.
