Our Voices by Aquinas Trio Students

There are twenty-six essays contained in this book that encompass the thoughts, feelings, and most importantly, honesty of the students and staff of the TRIO department of Aquinas College. The contributors were asked to share what it feels like to experience certain situations from their unique viewpoints and how they as individuals dealt with the issue in their lives. 

Authors delve into a myriad of topics such as what it feels like to experience Aquinas from a minority perspective, the struggle with faith, feelings of isolation in their first-year, the impact of studying abroad, and much more. We hope these essays can act as a confirmation to your own feelings and experiences, but more than that, we hope these stories can start a dialogue about the idea of perseverance and how each of these individuals overcame the obstacles in their lives to feel successful, or accepted, or just loved.
