Site and Insight: The Seen and Unseen by Earl W. Morris
This collection of short stories includes tales written since the author’s retirement. A recurring theme is the occurrence of missed opportunities. About people who observe the passing scene but don’t quite participate because they cannot. About people who crave but are unable to establish satisfying connections with others. The stories occur in far flung places and in surprising surroundings. Most of these stories arose from actual or imagined sojourns back into times when, as a much younger traveler in social and cultural milieus, I didn’t quite appreciate the experiences as I do now.
