Capital City Writers is a professional association for career-focused writers in and around Lansing, Michigan. Founded in 2013 by four professional writers, the organization is designed to provide support and learning opportunities for working and aspiring writers in their publishing pursuits.  Meetings are open to the public.

This month’s meeting features A Night with Pulitzer-Winner Jim Schaefer. Join CCWA for a Q&A conversation with Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and author Jim Schaefer of the Detroit Free Press on bringing real voices to life, telling true stories, and what it's like to win journalism's highest honor.

JIM SCHAEFER is an award-winning investigative reporter at the Detroit Free Press. His work has included sexual abuse among clergy, sports investigations, and projects focusing on former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. In 2009, he and colleagues, M.L.
