Think garden shows are just for white-gloved ladies who lunch? Think again. Welcome to The Big Apple Flower Show where the exhibitor next door could be a mob wife, a gangsta gardener . . . or a murderer!

In this follow-up to last year’s Dead Head, which was called “funny” and “clever” by Romantic Times and “enjoyable” by PW, Paula Holliday and best pal Lucy Cavanaugh are joined by a colorful cast which includes Rolanda Knox, a no-nonsense security guard affectionately nicknamed “Fort”, Guy Anzalone, the Tumbled Stone King of Brooklyn, Jamal Harrington, a high school kid with a black belt and a green thumb and a slick marketing guy hawking the most anticipated new product at the show, a foolproof pest repellant. Then an overeager attendee is found floating in the river and Paula realizes she accidentally holds a clue to his murder. That’s when the garden gloves come off and this flower show turns into a real SlugFest!

Rosemary Harris’ debut novel, Pushing Up Daisies, was a Mystery Guild selection and was nominated for an Agatha Award for best first novel. Rosemary is a member of Sisters In Crime, Mystery Writers of America, and CMGA (Connecticut Master Gardeners Association), and is also a Board member of MWA/NY and President of Sisters in Crime, New England.
