Award-winning recipe developer and photographer, Gina Ferwerda, a TODAY show food contributor who has also been featured by Good Morning America and ABC’s The Chew, will talk about her debut cookbook! Meals from the Mitten: Celebrating the Seasons in Michigan, shares 80+ seasonal recipes from Michigan along with beautiful photography from some of the state's most scenic landscapes including Sleeping Bear Dunes and Old Mission Peninsula wine county.

Gina Ferwerda is an award winning recipe developer, food blogger, and photographer who was born and raised in Michigan. Her grandparents were farmers, so she grew up eating farm to table...literally. When not traveling, she still lives in Michigan.
In 2014 Gina started a food blog called Boating, Boarding & Burgers that gained national traction. In the past three years, she has been featured by The TODAY Show Food Club, ABC The Chew, The Rachael Ray Show, NYCWFF and was even on Good Morning America. She still blogs about Boating, Boarding, & Burgers, but has expanded her blogging to include food inspirations from the North, East, West and South on her travels. It is now called "Nom News".
In the past 3 years, Gina has done over 30 live on-air food segments, on Good Morning America in NYC, WZZM TV13 and Fox 17 in Grand Rapids, WTSP Studio 10 Live in Tampa/Sarasota and WISH-TV IndyStyle in Indianapolis. She is a TODAY Show Food Contributor as well as a Jeep Talk Show Food and Travel Contributor.
