Freshman students at Kent Innovation High, between the ages of thirteen and fifteen, were challenged while working on a multi-disciplinary World History, English 9, and Biology unit to find a solution to the driving question: How can we continue to educate others of the atrocities of the Holocaust in order to prevent similar actions from reoccurring?

Their solution was to write this book--a collection of young adult short stories influenced by dystopian literature, CRISPR and targeted genome editing, the Holocaust, and the Lebensborn Breeding Program. Students wanted to sell this book in order to raise funds for the Detroit Holocaust Memorial Center, thus allowing the center to provide grants to schools who are financially unable to experience and gain understanding from their exhibits.
